Rebecca, Program Coordinator

Class of 2016, Psychology and Global Health

Rebecca is a Senior from Atlanta, Georgia.  She participated in the 2014 Moxie Project, where she was the Development and Programming Intern at Hollaback!  During the summer, she designed a curriculum about street harassment, gender-based violence, and healthy masculinity for New York City Public Schools.  She hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in social psychology and explore the psychological underpinnings and effects of oppression.

Katie, Web and Social Media Chair

Class of 2017, Psychology and Child Policy Research

Katie is a junior from Seattle, WA.  She participated in the 2014 Moxie Project, where she was the Development and Communications Intern at Sanctuary for Families, an organization providing services to victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking throughout New York City.  There, she developed social media strategic plans for the organization, helped at Sanctuary’s Zero Tolerance Benefit, and lobbied in Albany for the passage of the Trafficking Victims Protection and Justice Act (TVPJA).  She hopes to continue her work with victims of sexual violence in Durham and after graduation.

 

Mina

Mina, Outreach Chair

Class of 2017, Cultural Anthropology

Mina is a junior from Atlanta, Georgia.  She participated in the 2014 Moxie Project, where she was the Urban Leaders Academy Intern at Girls for Gender Equity.

Julia, Treasurer

Class of 2016, Psychology and Global Health

Julia is a senior from The Netherlands.  She participated in the 2014 Moxie Project, where she was the Children and Youth Services Program Intern at the Bronx Family Justice Center.
